A Little Paint Goes a Long Way

Ask Yourself This:
Do your windows need a facelift?
Did you purchase new windows and need to match the older ones?
Do you want to add colour to enhance your homes curb appeal?
Are you trying to sell your property and want to increase its value?
Are you trying to save money by delaying the purchase of new windows ?

The potential of making the old look new OR matching existing white Windows with some newly purchased ones is possible. Revitalizing your Windows prior to selling your property is now a very low cost possibility. Alternatively, color coordinating newly purchased colored Windows with existing white Windows, entry and patio doors, siding, soffit and other architectural elements is a potential reality. This will lead to a more enhanced curb appeal and value of your home.

The vinyl window industry has grown significantly in the last 25 years. Aqua DIY’s technology, in particular the on-site ability to add color (and texture) to an aging vinyl surface, has the potential to revolutionize restoration. Included in the vast installed base of Windows and doors are many units which are nothing more than “cosmetically challenged”. The recent trend of color and the vast selection of color options available when purchasing a new window nowadays has laid down the ground work to provide a solution for the tens of millions of already installed white (potentially yellowing) vinyl products .

Before deciding to replace… There is now an option.
Aqua DIY’s D100 coating Vinyl Windows and doors are a proven solution. 20 Years of successful “in factory” applications of D100 to PVC substrates have created the basis of the development of our coatings and this new and innovative kit. A very Extensive application base (estimated at over 20 million units) have led to the refinement of not only the coating itself, but also the Cleaners, application tools and methods. In fact, if you see new vinyl Windows with factory applied color, there is a good chance it’s D100!

What makes D100 so unique?
Why is it more than just an architectural paint? The answer lies in the substrate specific focus of its development.

D-100; High Performance and Flexibility
The mechanical properties of D-100 are such that a coated surface can withstand a high degree of expansion/ contraction and impact, in other words FLEXIBILITY is what keeps the finish from cracking. D-100 represents a very large step forward in the development of water based coating technology in general.

D-100 is produced by “reacting in” high performance. Most coatings are produced by combining a commercially available resin with a series of additives. D-100’s high performance is created by reacting (under high temperature and pressure) over 25 ingredients to create one single molecular structure. The resultant molecule can “sense” the surface tension of the PVC surface and align itself optimally with the molecules of the substrate to create a bond based on “cohesion”, in contrast to bonds created through mechanical adhesion.

Safer environment, superior performance
With an exceptionally low VOC (volatile organic compound) of less than 20 grams per liter, or 2.5 ounces per gallon, D-100 is decades ahead of even the most aggressive environmental standards anywhere in the world. The exceptionally low VOC content guarantees that the coating itself will not affect the surface chemistry of the vinyl itself, thus providing no changes to the performance of the vinyl (no brittleness developed over time).

The use of Inorganic Pigments provides exceptional heat reflectance along with unparalleled long term color/gloss retention. In fact the concentration of the high quality pigments in a thin layer of coating results in superior color retention than is possible with UN coated PVC (white) on its own.

The expectation of a service life measured in decades is possible with D100 technology.

D-100 also produces a more flexible bond than a high solvent coating, while offering a safer environment, superior performance and color retention.

STEP 2 HOW TO Step-by-Step
HOW MUCH PRODUCT WILL YOU NEED?
D-100 KIT
When coating PVC Window and Patio Door Frames, the consumption of coating will vary depending on the size and shape of the profiles as well as the size of the units themselves. The expected coverage of a quart of coating ( 1 kit ) is approximately 50 square feet or 5 square meters of surface area. This would result in a typical coverage of 1 patio door and 2 windows or 4 typical window units. Coating is sold separately if your requirements exceed this.
