Finish your VERSATEX Cellular PVC Sheets, Trimboard, Soffits, Mouldings, Beadboard and other Fabricated Products with ANY Color, using Aqua-DIY’s D100 Reflective PVC Coating Technology.
Grain Ex and Stain Top Coat can be applied to VERSATEX’s smooth or textured white surface to create a woodgrain finish without sacrificing maintenance-free convenience or performance.
Constraints limiting your color choices on PVC based on Light Reflective Value (LRV), are a thing of the past.
Aqua-DIY’s pigment system minimizes heat buildup across a broad color Spectrum. Use Black ,Commercial Brown, Dark Bronze, etc.
Even our black coating has a minimal heat build compared to unpainted VERSATEX Cellular PVC. Coated material will also fade LESS than unpainted product due to the reflective characteristics of the coating and the inherent stability of the pigments.
The same heat reflective properties can be achieved for woodgrain looks by combining a base coat wipe (using GrainEx) with a translucent top coat (Stain Top Coat).

The mechanical properties of Aqua-DIY technology are such that a coated surface can withstand a high degree of expansion, contraction, and impact. FLEXIBILITY keeps the finish from cracking. Aqua-DIY products represents a very large step forward in the development of water-based coating technology.
Most coatings are produced by combining a commercially available resin with a series of additives. Aqua-DIY’s high performance is created by bonding (under high temperature and pressure) over 25 ingredients to create one single molecular structure. The resultant molecule can “sense” the surface tension of the VERSATEX PVC surface and align itself optimally with the molecules of the substrate to create a cohesive bond, in contrast to bonds created through mechanical adhesion.
Safer Environment, Superior Performance
With exceptionally low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) levels of less than 20 grams per liter (2.5 ounces per gallon), D-100 is decades ahead of even the most aggressive environmental standards anywhere in the world. The exceptionally low VOC content guarantees that the coating itself will not affect the surface chemistry of the PVC, thus providing no changes to the performance of the substrate or VERSATEX’s Lifetime Guarantee.
The use of Inorganic Pigments provides exceptional heat reflection along with unparalleled long-term color/gloss retention. All this means that D-100 is an environmentally-friendly coating that produces a more flexible bond than a high solvent coating, while delivering superior performance and color retention.
Aqua DIY is Coating the World… without Costing the Earth!

For the wood look, the consumption of the Stain Top Coat is the same as the D100 solid color above, approximately 50 and 200 square feet for a quart and gallon respectively. GrainEx consumption is a small fraction of the above. The 250 ml format ( approximately 1/2 pint ) should be adequate for no less than 200 square feet. The 1 quart format of Grain Ex should be adequate for 1,000 square feet.
The above can vary with application technique.
